Brake Fluid
Description
Brake Fluid is the most key element in modern braking systems, and also the most commonly overlooked. The hydraulic brake system uses fluid to operate, and thus cannot function without it. Brake fluid is “hygroscopic”, which means it absorbs moisture. As time goes on, more and more moisture is absorbed by the fluid, until its protective nature is diminished and it begins to rust and rot the braking system from the inside out. Worn brake fluid can result in a spongy feel, poor braking performance and damage to seals and o-rings within the braking system.
We offer a Brake Fluid Flush service that replaces worn fluid. On one end, the machine is connected to the vehicle’s Master Cylinder Reservoir, where it adds clean fluid. At the other end, the machine connects to the bleeder valves on all 4 wheels where it sucks worn fluid out. This process also removes any air trapped in the system which can adversely affect braking performance. The process takes only 15-20 minutes and the results are outstanding! Brake fluid is recommended to be changed every 48,000km or 2 years, just like the rest of the vehicle’s fluids.
